Toxic Tort / Asbestos Defense Litigation Associate (to $275k)
Incendia Partners is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Environmental and Toxic Tort practice group. This position offers the opportunity to handle high-profile toxic tort and asbestos defense litigation within a collaborative, well-resourced team that represents major manufacturers, contractors, and premises owners across California and beyond.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of toxic tort and asbestos defense litigation from case inception through resolution
Draft and argue dispositive motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and trial-related filings
Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, experts, and corporate representatives
Coordinate with experts in fields such as industrial hygiene, environmental science, and epidemiology
Develop defense strategies and communicate effectively with clients and co-counsel
Represent clients in both state and federal courts, handling case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation
Qualification
Required
Active California Bar license required
Must reside in California (remote flexibility available)
1 or more years of defense litigation experience, specifically in toxic tort, asbestos defense, or products liability
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong academic credentials and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with the firm's national team
Preferred
Prior experience working with scientific experts and exposure to complex discovery is preferred
