Responsibilities

Oversee the full project lifecycle: estimating support, mobilization, execution, and closeout
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management plans
Ensure compliance with permits, environmental regulations (e.g., SWPPP, erosion & sediment control), and client specifications
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment allocation to meet productivity and cost targets
Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, progress, and adherence to schedules
Financial & Contract Management
Review project estimates, bids, and proposals in coordination with business development and estimating teams
Track and report on job costing, billing, cash flow, and change orders to ensure project profitability
Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders while maintaining strong vendor relationships
Work closely with the Controller/Accounting team to ensure timely invoicing and accurate financial reporting
Champion the company’s safety culture by enforcing OSHA and company-specific safety standards
Coordinate with environmental compliance teams to maintain proper documentation, inspections, and reporting
Respond proactively to risk events, field challenges, and environmental issues to minimize project disruptions
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong communication and relationships
Lead and mentor project teams—including superintendents, foremen, and field crews—to deliver superior performance
Facilitate project meetings, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment between operations, clients, and field teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of progressive project management experience in energy, utility, or environmental/construction sectors
Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar, multi-state projects in energy infrastructure (transmission lines, pipeline ROW, renewable sites, reclamation projects)
Strong understanding of erosion control, reclamation practices, permitting, environmental compliance
Excellent knowledge of construction scheduling tools, job costing, and contract administration
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and field teams
Willingness to travel up to 40–60% depending on project locations
Valid driver's license

Preferred

PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
Familiarity with renewable energy (solar, wind) and/or pipeline ROW restoration projects
Proficiency with project management software
Experience managing union and non-union crews in diverse field environments
