The role involves leading the WIC Program, overseeing the administration of a federal nutrition program that provides healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and healthcare referrals to qualifying mothers and children.

Responsibilities

Ensure federal WIC compliance and state policy adherence
Manage vendor relationships, MIS systems, caseload, fiscal operations
Oversee data quality, quality assurance, site operations
Conduct management evaluations and program assessments
Hire, supervise, and evaluate nutritionists and coordinators
Develop staff schedules, workflows, and service hours
Ensure 10 CEU credits annually for all staff
Provide civil rights, customer service, domestic violence training
Liaison between agency, state WIC office, and community partners
Articulate program goals to participants, providers, agencies
Collaborate across FQHC services (primary care, women's health, pediatrics)

Required

Bachelor's degree required (Public Health, Nutrition, Public Administration)
2-3 years management/supervisory experience required
Program planning and administration background
Grant writing and budget preparation experience

RD/LDN (Registered Dietitian/Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist) strongly preferred
Nutrition degree preferred
2+ years WIC program experience preferred
