Responsibilities
Answer incoming telephone calls and assist members with any of the following:
Resolving problems
Cross-selling credit union products
Rate quotations/negotiations
Researching account information
Ordering checks, statements and check copies
Quoting savings and loan rates
Quoting blue book rates
Ordering checks
Ordering statements and check copies
Calculating and quoting dividends (interest) and loan payments
Paying off loans
Payroll deductions
Providing general information
Setting up automatic transfers
Advising member of investment opportunities or options
Referring the opening, adjusting and closing of accounts
Cross-selling Credit Union products
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
very effective oral communications skills and patience to work with the public
basic accounting skills sufficient to process and balance accounts
strong personal computer skills, especially data entry
must be able to cross-sell products and services
Preferred
a working knowledge of customer service procedures at the Credit Union
