Responsibilities

Design apparel-first graphics for tees, hoodies, bottoms, outerwear and accessories
Translate brand concepts and storytelling into wearable graphics
Develop graphic systems, motifs, and visual consistency across drops
Create typography- and illustration-driven designs that feel timeless, not trendy
Collaborate with apparel designers to ensure graphics complement silhouettes and fabrics
Prepare production-ready artwork for manufacturing
Refine and iterate based on fit, placement, and real-world wear
Evolve Cove’s graphic language while protecting brand integrity

Required

A senior-level apparel graphic designer (not digital-first or branding-only)
Deeply opinionated about taste, proportion, and restraint
Comfortable designing graphics that are subtle, confident, and emotionally resonant
Experienced working on products that sell at scale, not just concepts
Fluent in typography, layout, and illustration
Fast, iterative, and self-directed
Confident pushing back when something doesn't feel right

Preferred

Experience with premium or lifestyle apparel brands
Strong typographic sensibility
Ability to design graphics that feel masculine, timeless, and modern
Experience collaborating closely with founders or creative directors
A portfolio that shows restraint, not just range
