Responsibilities
Create a positive team experience
Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research
Performs data downloads from client’s accounting system
Develops review schedules and checklist from client data downloads
Travels to client locations to gather and copy tax returns, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to use in the audit refund process
Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies
Assists Manager in developing project workplans and scheduling associated project deliverables
Negotiates tax resolutions with state agencies
Drafts filings, such as petitions for redetermination, refund claims, and various other administrative replies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance
Two to four years audit or tax related experience
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research
Valid driver's license
Requires limited supervisory responsibilities, including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness
