Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the company’s overall IT strategy, aligning technology with business goals
Serve as the organization’s primary technology advisor, identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices that balance flexibility with operational excellence
Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, cloud services, and telecommunications
Oversee system performance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and business continuity systems
Establish and monitor cybersecurity protocols to safeguard data and systems
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, software licenses, and internal policies
Educate staff on safe technology practices and conduct periodic risk assessments
Provide day-to-day technical support across the organization, ensuring prompt and effective issue resolution
Create and maintain user guides, system documentation, and training tools to enhance team member productivity
Act as a technology coach for team members, promoting digital literacy and confidence
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology consultants
Negotiate contracts, track renewals, and manage IT budgets and purchasing
Lead and implement IT-related projects including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
Serve as the foundation for building the company’s IT department
Develop job descriptions and growth plans for future IT roles as the company expands
Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to IT team members
Partner with leadership and department managers to support business needs through technology
Participate in strategic planning and problem-solving conversations across departments
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in IT management
Proven ability to develop and execute IT strategies
Experience managing IT infrastructure including hardware, software, networking, cloud services, and telecommunications
Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols and compliance regulations
Ability to provide technical support and create user documentation
Experience in vendor and project management
Leadership skills to mentor and guide IT team members
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support business needs through technology
