Somewhere is seeking an SEO & Visibility Specialist who is passionate about helping small, local businesses improve their online presence. The role involves leading organic growth efforts through technical SEO audits, on-page optimization, and off-page authority building, while collaborating with marketing teams to enhance visibility across search platforms.

Responsibilities
Conduct technical audits using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to identify site errors, indexation issues, redirects, and crawl inefficiencies
Monitor site performance in Google Search Console and track progress on indexing, impressions, and keyword visibility
Implement schema markup, structured data, and site speed improvements in collaboration with developers
Maintain and improve overall site health across client websites
Optimize metadata, H1/H2 structures, content, and internal linking for both user experience and search intent
Use tools such as Surfer SEO to guide content optimization and scoring
Collaborate with writers and designers to balance SEO best practices with brand and UX consistency
Identify and manage content refresh opportunities to maintain rankings over time
Research and manage ethical backlink acquisition strategies (guest posting, partnerships, directories, digital PR)
Audit and maintain local citations and ensure consistency across listings
Track domain authority improvements and link-building metrics
Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for multiple clients (posts, reviews, categories, Q&A)
Track local ranking performance and recommend improvements for maps and local search
Support the development of scalable processes for local visibility improvements across industries
Build and maintain dashboards for visibility, rankings, and keyword trends
Translate data into actionable insights for Marketing Managers and clients
Help document Fractional’s internal SEO framework — from audits to reporting templates — to improve efficiency and quality across accounts
Qualification
Required
3-6 years of SEO experience (agency or multi-brand environment preferred)
Proven success in improving organic visibility and local rankings for small businesses
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment across multiple client accounts
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Self-starter who enjoys both the strategic and technical sides of SEO
Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and diagnostic tools (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, Search Console)
Hands-on experience managing Google Business Profiles and optimizing for local search
Knowledge of on-page best practices, schema markup, and page speed improvement techniques
Experience in acquiring backlinks or managing off-page strategies
Familiarity with WordPress, Surfer SEO, and other CMS optimization tools
Ability to analyze and present performance data with clarity
Preferred
Experience with GoHighLevel, Data Studio, or AI-assisted content tools
