Production Manager
PARTOW is a New York–based ready-to-wear luxury goods brand known for its refined craftsmanship and timeless design. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the full product lifecycle, managing production timelines, and ensuring the highest standards of quality while coordinating between various teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
Own and Manage the Full Product Lifecycle : Oversee all stages from development through production, including fabric sourcing, pattern making, grading/marking, sample making, fittings, and bulk manufacturing. Ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality control
Production Calendar Management : Develop and manage the seasonal production calendar, scheduling all key milestones to ensure on-time deliveries. Plan and organize workflows to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines
Documentation : Maintain and update all production documentation, including order sheets, sample logs, vendor communications, and other critical records
Vendor & Factory Management : Manage both domestic and international factories and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and workflow
Costing & Budget Management : Create and maintain detailed costing sheets, including yardage, trims, and material quantities. Negotiate pricing with factories and vendors, identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising design integrity or quality
Cross-Functional Coordination : Coordinate between design, sales, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth seasonal execution. Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to maintain alignment throughout production
Production Monitoring : Track production progress, monitor raw material and trim availability, assist with procurement follow-up, and ensure timely resolution of production issues
Reporting : Prepare production reports, costing sheets, and status updates for internal teams to maintain transparency and accountability
Ethical Sourcing & Compliance : Collaborate on ethical sourcing and compliance reporting. Ensure production partners adhere to ethical and environmental standards while exploring sourcing opportunities aligned with brand values
Process Optimization : Continuously analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards
Problem-Solving & Support : Provide hands-on support for production challenges, assist with fittings, sample adjustments, and factory communication as needed to meet deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5-7+ years of experience in luxury or high-end ready-to-wear production, including hands-on management of development, sourcing, and manufacturing
Strong organizational and managerial skills
Advanced analytical, business development, and negotiation skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-based
Strong mathematical skills
Strong ability to be persistent and take initiative and ownership of projects
Able to develop effective working internal relationships
Robust analytical skills
Excellent communication: Versed in the use of ERP systems
Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabric sourcing, and finishing techniques relevant to luxury apparel
Strong proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, Costing and production management tools
