Acumen Fiscal Agent is on a mission to help the disabled, military veterans, and the elderly live more independent lives. They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist 1 to manage billing and collection processes, ensuring the organization's financial health while supporting other accounting functions.

Financial Services

Responsibilities

Manage the processing of accounts receivable transactions

Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner

Record and reconcile payments received

Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies

Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable activities

Generate reports and provide updates on the status of receivable accounts

Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable

Qualification

Accounting principlesMicrosoft ExcelAttention to detailOrganizational skillsProblem-solvingCommunication skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred

Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Preferred

Associate degree in accounting or finance

Previous experience in accounts receivable or related field is a plus, but not required
