Sierra Pacific Industries is a fourth-generation family-owned company based in Northern California and one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the U.S. They are seeking an Engineer/Scientist Intern to assist in the development of stormwater maintenance plans and ensure compliance with environmental challenges at their manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

Assist in development of stormwater maintenance plan by:
Develop list of stormwater components
Review manufacturer manuals and catalogue relevant specifications
List component maintenance frequencies
Prepare standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks
Develop work orders for equipment maintenance
Coordinate with team to update drawings and stormwater plans

Qualification

Engineering courseworkDatabase designSpreadsheet proficiencyCritical thinkingCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

College-level course work in engineering or natural science
Knowledge of database design desirable
Willing to learn and operate in database system
Ability to work with code a plus
Knowledgeable with spreadsheets
Excellent communication skills
Excellent critical thinking and writing skills
Thorough and organized
