Responsibilities
Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents (pleadings, briefs, discovery, correspondence)
Assist with state, federal, and bankruptcy court filings (including NYSCEF and ECF/PACER)
Manage attorney calendars using Compulaw and Outlook
Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, meetings, and trials
Assist with client engagement, conflict checks, and matter openings
Enter attorney time, prepare billing submissions, and submit expenses
Provide overflow support across offices as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality of firm and client matters
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a mid- or large-sized law firm supporting multiple attorneys
Advanced proficiency in MS Word (styles, TOCs/TOAs, track changes, comparisons); working knowledge of Outlook; basic Excel and PowerPoint
Strong grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills
Knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with NetDocs, Compulaw, Best Authority, and Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
