InternCandid Intelligence is focused on transforming pre-construction engineering for large compute and energy infrastructure projects. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to work on core product components, including data ingestion, UI development, and evaluation of AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities
Write scripts to scrape, clean, and structure engineering datasets used for training and evaluation
Build UI components and visualizations for inspecting and correcting AI-generated outputs
Help create testing and “ground truth” frameworks to measure accuracy and reliability of document extraction
Build and test small tools, APIs, and connectors used by agent systems to validate outputs
Qualification
Required
Write scripts to scrape, clean, and structure engineering datasets used for training and evaluation
Build UI components and visualizations for inspecting and correcting AI-generated outputs
Help create testing and 'ground truth' frameworks to measure accuracy and reliability of document extraction
Build and test small tools, APIs, and connectors used by agent systems to validate outputs
Ship real code that ends up in production
Experience with Python, TypeScript, React
Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic
Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions
Preferred
Takes ownership of their code and PRs
Cares about clean logic, readable code, and good documentation
Cringes at sloppy implementations or vague assumptions
Learns quickly and navigates unfamiliar systems well
Cares about craft and building things the right way, not just making them work
Personal projects or GitHub repos built from scratch (not just tutorials)
Strong fundamentals in Python and/or React/TypeScript
Comfortable being scrappy and figuring things out with minimal hand-holding
Interest in AI systems, infrastructure, or developer tools
