Responsibilities
Learn to assist Inspectors while they inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA codes
Develop knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes and standards
Develop knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems and their devices, appurtenances, critical components and operations
Learn to perform testing and maintenance under direct supervision of an Inspection/Service Technician
Under supervision, perform on the job training documentation each week
Learn to differentiate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) recommended
0-1 year of previous mechanical aptitude and installation experience preferred
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
Pre-employment drug screen
Clean MVR
Overtime and weekends may be required
