Responsibilities
You will be an advocate of Mace's value of safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards
You will create and design effective implementations of PMO and project controls frameworks and strategies on assigned commissions
You will be developing your expertise in PMO and project controls, with a growing internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders)
Serving as a client-facing project controls professional who assists with tactical and technical advice
Being a key interface with client, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages
Undertake the valuation of contractor’s monthly applications including measured works, preliminaries, materials on site, etc
Assessment and evaluation of variations including the ability to negotiate and agree with contractor, including the preparation of full substantiating documentation
Ensuring that post-contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes are managed effectively
Performance reporting including KPI, risk and resource analysis
Review monthly updates of spend and schedule data to achieve KPIs
Qualification
Required
Degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or related field
Professional membership, i.e., MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, along with the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights
Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contractual frameworks relating to construction
Experience in the pharma or technology sector or other similar manufacturing
Experience in EPMO system like unifier or procore
Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise
Preferred
MS, MBA preferred
Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Direction and management experience of large, diverse teams
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on
