Bookkeeper - CPA Firm

WhiteCap Search is a well-established CPA firm based in Long Island seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This hybrid role involves maintaining accurate client accounts and processing financial transactions for a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and start-ups.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and confidential client accounts, including accrual and cash basis bookkeeping
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll using third-party systems and AMS Payroll software
Set up and manage QuickBooks accounts, including creating and maintaining the Chart of Accounts
Generate and analyze key financial reports, such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements
Prepare, review, and file W-2s, W-3s, and 1099s for clients
Assist with year-end closings and write-ups
Prepare sales tax workpapers and process payments through state portals

Qualification

QuickBooksAccounting experiencePayroll processingFinancial reportingClient managementConfidentialityTime management

Required

5 years of recent and relevant Accounting/Bookkeeping experience in the U.S
CPA firm experience required
Comfortable working in an environment with competing demands
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, as well as Payroll processing
