Director/ExecutiveCA For The Arts is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Public Art Program Director for the City of San José. This role involves managing the Public Art Program, developing strategic visions, guiding public policy, and overseeing project realization from inception to conservation.

Managing the Public Art Program
Developing a strategic vision
Guiding and developing public policy
Planning, managing and evaluating the program and its projects
Stewarding the program’s budget
Guiding the program’s projects realization from inception, installation, to conservation
Working closely with interdepartmental leadership and the community
Supervising two Senior Arts Coordinators and one Art Coordinator
Qualification
Required
Proven, visionary leader
Experience in managing public art programs
Ability to develop a strategic vision
Experience in guiding and developing public policy
Experience in planning, managing, and evaluating programs and projects
Ability to steward budgets
Experience in project realization from inception to conservation
Ability to work closely with interdepartmental leadership and the community
Supervisory experience (supervising Senior Arts Coordinators and Art Coordinator)
Detail-oriented individual
Initiative, flexibility, and creativity
High level of professionalism
Excellent customer service skills
Strong work ethic
Knowledge of trends and best practices in public art
Experience in program and budget management
