Responsibilities

Develop and backtest proprietary systematic trading strategies through creative idea generation, advanced statistical modeling techniques, and data collection and analysis

Conduct in-depth research on complex datasets to identify potential alpha opportunities and manage idiosyncratic and systemic risks for the sales and trading desks

Assist traders with building a quantitative infrastructure and automating everyday workflows and processes

Specified projects and varied assignments relating to the trading desk

Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines

Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

High School (HS) (Required)

General Experience - 4 to 6 months

Experience in quantitative problem solving using programmatic approaches (i.e. R, Python, SQL, Excel) and a strong mathematical background is also required

Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a general understanding of financial markets along with strong analytical, creative, and communication skillsets

Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Provide a high level of customer service

Establish and maintain effective working relationships
