Responsibilities
Operating PennDOT pavement test equipment, including devices used for laser roughness and pavement friction testing systems, as well as the location reference system and video log test system
Managing data analysis and reporting systems
Conducting research projects related to highway pavements
Maintaining and repairing testing equipment
Performing specialized activities for PennDOT's Automated Data Collection, Inventory, and Analysis Distress Program
Qualification
Required
One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
Possession of a Class C non-commercial driver's license
Must meet the PA residency requirement
Must be able to perform essential job functions
