Senior Account Executive / New Business – U.S. based
Plerion is a cloud and AI security company based in Australia, looking to expand into the US market. They are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new business without any inherited pipeline, focusing on educating the market and acquiring new customers.

Responsibilities
Creating and executing your own outbound strategy
Co-sell motions with cloud vendors and MSP / MSSP’s
Opening net-new opportunities across SMB & mid-enterprise
Owning deals end-to-end – from first conversation to close
Working closely with founders, product & leadership to evolve & execute how we go to market
Feeding real-world customer insight back into the business
Helping define what “great” looks like for sales at Plerion
Qualification
Required
5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a strong pedigree of new logo acquisition
Proven startup or scale-up experience (this is ideal)
A track record of building pipeline where none existed
Experience in cloud and/or cyber security (this will dramatically shorten the learning curve)
A deep understanding that success here comes from discipline, resilience, lateral thinking, and relentless execution
A hunter by mindset, not just title
Comfortable being uncomfortable
Energised by ambiguity rather than paralysed by it
Someone who wants to materially impact the business, not just hit a number
Commercially sharp, but also creative – able to find angles others miss
Resilient enough to hear 'no' a lot and keep going anyway
