Forest Technician (Seasonal) - William Penn Forest District, Berks County
NEOGOV is seeking individuals who are passionate about conservation to join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Forest Technician. This role involves overseeing forestry management programs, conducting field surveys, and supporting the health and sustainability of forest resources.

Responsibilities
Oversee various programs, including timber sales, fire prevention initiatives, insect and disease management, the development of forest tree nurseries, and the execution of recreational projects
Conduct surveys to accurately assess and document the characteristics of forest resources
Compile and report field data
Apply standard forest management practices
Interpret maps, drawings, and plans effectively to carry out duties
Support forestry professionals across the district
Qualification
Required
An associate's degree in forest technology; or Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry
Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent
Ability to perform essential job functions
