Lead HR Assistant

Responsibilities

Provides administrative and technical support to Branch Human Resources Specialists and Assistants on the most highly complex and difficult personnel systems, errors and problems and associated actions
Processes the full range of personnel/pay actions of a complex nature, such as special appointments
Use office automation systems and databases such as NFC, Empower, and HRIS to input, update, correct, or retrieve complex information
Use office automation systems to -arch, correct, and update complex History Corruption Update Processing (HCUP) packages from the national Finance Center (NFC)
Communicates effectively in writing to produce clear, concise policy guidance, responses to audits, and formal communications to senior leadership and external stakeholders
Conducts training for Human Resources Assistants providing information and advice on proper coding and methods used to process complex personnel and associated actions

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector
Providing administrative and technical support for processing a full range of staffing, personnel and payroll actions
Researching applicable laws and regulations to assist in the resolution of personnel and pay issues
Utilizing automated personnel/payroll related processing systems such as NFC, EPIC, Empowhr, and eOPF to code, input, or correct data
Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level
