Military Personnel & Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

Process complex pay entitlements for accuracy
Provide technical expertise to support internal customers
Research personnel programs to prepare administrative records
Maintain administrative files in accordance with policy
Analyze statistical reports for inconsistencies

Required

Active membership as a Soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) is required before a start date can be set
Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Utilizing office automation systems (i.e., spreadsheets, word processing, databases) for a variety of work products; 2) Preparing correspondence with grammatical accuracy for dissemination to customers; and 3) Processing a variety of personnel or pay actions for the organization
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06)
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
One year trial/probationary period may be required
Direct deposit of pay is required

Benefits

Relocation expenses reimbursed: Yes—Relocation costs may be paid if the selecting official determines the relocation is in the best interests of the government.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses to their first official duty station.
