This role focuses on resource management, recreation, and fire control, assisting in forestry initiatives and maintaining recreational facilities in state forests.

Responsibilities
Assist foresters in identifying vegetation for the Forest Resource Plan and help mark and designate forest products available for sale from state lands
Integral to the district's regeneration program, which includes preparing surveys and maps using GPS and GIS technology
Maintain records of herbicide applications for both regeneration efforts and invasive species management
Assist foresters in developing and improving recreational facilities in state forests
Operate various vehicles, such as motor vehicles, ATVs, and snowmobiles, to ensure these areas are well-maintained
Provide information and support to visitors, helping to create a positive experience
Organize educational programs for user groups as needed
Qualification
Required
An associate's degree in forest technology; or
Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry
Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent
You must be able to perform essential job functions
