NEOGOV is seeking a County Casework Supervisor for the Susquehanna County Children & Youth department. The role involves supervising caseworkers and managing child abuse investigations to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the community.

Responsibilities

Supervise caseworkers, casework aides, and clerical staff

Assign and supervise child abuse investigations

Provide case management, counseling, and referral services

Perform coaching conferences with each assigned caseworker for case planning

Coordinate and review case records, documents, and information prepared by staff to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures and legal requirements

Meet with representatives of other community agencies and agency staff to coordinate supportive services

Required

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences

You must be able to perform essential job functions

You must pass a background investigation

A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
