Director of Store Operations Support (PLCB Retail Operations Manager 2)
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Bureau Director of Store Operations Support for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). This role involves coordinating promotional events, providing operational support for retail operations, and formulating retail strategies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The director will also oversee performance analytics and advise on retail management aspects.

Responsibilities
Coordinating promotional events for Fine Wine and Good Spirits
Providing operational support for both store and central office retail operations
Leading the formulation of retail strategies
Overseeing performance analytics
Ensuring the effective implementation of retail policies and procedures
Advising the Director of Retail Operations on all aspects of retail management
Collaborating across various operations to discuss store sales, productivity performance, and the prioritization and review of policies and processes
Evaluating data
Managing budgets
Supporting central office initiatives
Overseeing task management
Establishing productivity standards
Facilitating communication that directly affects field employees and operations
Providing regional and district support
Researching programs and legislation to formulate executive policy recommendations aimed at positioning the PLCB as a leader in the retail industry
Qualification
Required
One year as a State Liquor Store Administrator 2, or PLCB Retail Operations Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Seven years of liquor store management/administrative experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes administrative or management experience involving the review, analysis, and implementation of procedures, policies, and directives in an organization of similar complexity. College education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
