Tourist Information Supervisor
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Tourist Information Supervisor to enhance the experience of visitors at Pennsylvania's Welcome Centers. Responsibilities
Oversee the operations of the PennDOT Welcome Centers, ensuring that your team delivers accurate, efficient, and helpful information to travelers visiting these facilities
Represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by warmly greeting and assisting guests
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the state's highways, transportation networks, and various public and private attractions, including recreational areas, events, weather updates, accommodations, and tourist sites
Distribute printed materials that enhance visitors' travel experiences
Facilitate both internal and external communications to optimize operations
Participate in quarterly meetings focused on events, programs, and services
Qualification
Required
One year as a Tourist Information Counselor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years of experience in work involving public contact; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
You must be able to perform essential job functions
