Responsibilities

Performs the duties outlined for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END) under supervision
Accurately takes and documents pertinent history from the patient or chart
Sets-up patients for appropriate study, EEG, EP, NCS, TCD or IOM
Measures/marks and accurately applies recording electrodes according to the International 10-20 Electrode placement system
Performs diagnostic studies with appropriate documentation and observation of the patient
Troubleshoots equipment and physiological artifacts, distinguishing normal from abnormal and using appropriate resources to perform study
Performs basic infection control standards relating to patient and equipment, including electrodes/probes
Maintains professional development, clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style
Performs other related duties as required

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS certification
Knowledge of basic infection control standards relating to patient and equipment, including electrodes/probes
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
Ability to build and maintain good rapport with patient and staff
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Ability to work effectively through changing priorities
Ability to work flexible schedule (extended shifts, nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.)

Preferred

Associate degree
2 Years Of Related Experience
R.NCS.T, R.EEG.T, R.EP.T, RVS, RCS, CLTM, or CNIM
