Boston Children's Hospital is offering a summer internship program for college students interested in healthcare. The internship focuses on supporting the Fetal-Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center through various research projects and provides hands-on experience in project coordination, data management, and patient-facing activities.

Responsibilities

Support the Fetal-Neonatal Neuroimaging and Developmental Science Center (FNNDSC through projects focused on developing and implementing novel in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to study the placenta and developing fetus

Collaborate with other investigators, research fellows, and CRAs in a multidisciplinary research environment

Help maintain study documentation and manage databases (Excel, REDCap, OnCore)

Assist with segmentation and analysis of MRI images

Support participant recruitment (e.g., identifying and contacting potential participants, screening, consenting, etc.)

Observing and assisting with MRI research scans

Attending research seminars

Presenting at lab meetings

Shadowing medical professionals

Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding

Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities

Required

You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare

Pre-medical or research-oriented student with an interest in neuroscience, imaging, or maternal-fetal health
