Regional Category Manager - J0047900
Astemo Ltd. is seeking a Regional Category Manager to lead the CAPEX category for the AM region. This role involves managing capital expenses, supporting sourcing activities, and collaborating with engineering to identify cost reduction opportunities while ensuring supplier deliverables align with project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities
Support the sourcing and purchasing of capital equipment, construction services, and infrastructure upgrades across multiple locations
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and assist in preparing RFQ’s
Develop CAPEX synergy strategies including a supplier panel across AM region
Create CAPEX spend analysis and lead negotiations for CAPEX suppliers
Managing cost reduction projects
Negotiating contractual agreements
Cost analysis, cost reduction strategies, market analysis, quoting activities
Ensure documentation and procurement activity is compliant with internal controls (GToA)
Collaborate with finance and operations to ensure spending is aligned with the approved CAPEX budget
Provide timely follow-ups with suppliers and internal teams to support project timelines and delivery
Long –term planning and development of strategic suppliers including monitoring and evaluating their performance
Support / update monthly category reports and AM region activities to GCM (Global Category Manager)
Qualification
Required
Ability to analyze/interpret large amounts of data (costs/supplier proposals)
Demonstrated strong/effective negotiation & decision-making skills
Strong contract analysis and negotiation skills
Advanced Excel / PowerPoint knowledge / skill set
Ability to seek on-going cost reduction activities to establish, meet and exceed goals
Ability to lead groups and designate responsibilities as needed
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the organization
Ability to handle multiple projects to satisfactorily achieve dept./co. objectives
Possess high ethical standards of professional conduct and a basic understanding of contract law
Travel required to domestic and foreign suppliers
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
5-10 years industry experience in a Procurement related field, ideally involving capital projects
