Senior Sales Engineer

ECI Software Solutions is a growing leader in the construction technology space, seeking a Sales Engineering professional to deliver compelling demonstrations and consultative guidance around their Business Application Software solutions for small and mid-sized homebuilders. The role involves partnering with the Residential Home Construction sales team to demonstrate software solutions, provide technical expertise, and address complex business challenges faced by homebuilders.

Responsibilities

Explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of the ECI’s Business Application products including Insearch, Lasso, Avid and LotVue
Actively participate in scoping, discovery, and proposal review sessions with prospects and customers
Assist sales teams in identifying and presenting solutions for complex business management processes
Comprehend the prospect’s technical specifications to determine out-of-box capabilities or custom development is required
Ability to comprehend and articulate solution options, associated risk-benefit analysis, articulate solution pros and cons, and suggest process change recommendations
Conduct customized and focused product demonstrations in-person or virtually to small and large audiences
Communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with ERP solutions and an understanding of how business application products integrate with various ERP platforms
Meet assigned sales targets, contribute to overall sales growth
Serve as a technical liaison between prospects and ECI
Interface with product management and development teams regarding feature requests and solution enhancements
Author RFP responses to meet required timelines and expectations
Support marketing, attend trade shows, support solutions webinars, and create product-focused and informative videos for general consumption
Articulate technical requirements and complex business processes in a manner that is easy to understand
Maintain technical knowledge, attend certification training, and conduct product training

Required

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a sales engineer or demonstrating cloud-based SaaS software solutions
Minimum of 5 years' experience working with ERP software
Minimum of 5 years' experience presenting in-person or virtually to large audiences
Self-motivated with a proven track record in software systems and professional services sales
Knowledge of cloud solutions, public (AWS, Azure, Google) and private single/multi-tenant deployments
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface with both technical and non-technical team members
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced presales environment, supporting multiple projects at any given time
Highly dependable, possess good organization and time management skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Familiarity with the homebuilding industry
Must possess strong presentation and communication skills including web-based video-driven sessions
Able to communicate professionally, both written and verbal
Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite and MS Teams
Ability to travel up to 35%

Preferred

Working knowledge with API, SQL, and MS Visual Basic a plus
Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
