Neurobiology Research Lab Summer 2026 COACH College Program
Boston Children's Hospital is offering a summer internship program for college students in the Neurobiology Research Lab. Interns will gain hands-on experience in stem cell biology, organoid culture, and microscopy-based analysis while working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities
Cell culture and maintenance of pluripotent stem cells and differentiating inner ear and skin organoids under sterile conditions
Immunohistochemistry and microscopy, including staining and imaging of organoid sections
Live-cell imaging
Data organization and analysis
Weekly lab meetings, journal clubs, and one-on-one mentorship sessions
Work independently on assigned tasks after appropriate training, demonstrate strong attention to detail, adhere to lab safety protocols, and engage collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities
Qualification
Required
You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare
Foundational knowledge of cell and molecular biology, including familiarity with sterile technique, pipetting, and solution preparation
Basic understanding of microscopy, genetics, or neuroscience, ideally through coursework or prior lab experience
Comfort with data recording and quantitative analysis
Attention to detail
