Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, construct, and install new capital equipment as part of planned engineering programs and capital portfolios
Lead engineering projects and programs, including scope definition, business case development, cost justification, schedule planning, risk assessment, execution, and post-implementation review
Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with operational requirements
Provide engineering support to manufacturing to resolve equipment and process issues, prioritizing actions based on safety, throughput, and business impact
Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing methods, automation, and equipment to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and support long-term capacity plans
Improve equipment availability and reliability through data analysis, structured problem solving, and programmatic corrective actions
Develop and maintain standard work, operating procedures, and technical documentation for manufacturing and maintenance
Manage facility and equipment system upgrades, including vacuum systems, cooling towers, combustion systems, and material handling systems, as part of integrated improvement programs
Define and recommend preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, frequencies, and capital reinvestment plans
Track and report project performance, benefits realization, and lessons learned to stakeholders and leadership
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Engineering discipline plus 3 years of relevant experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and maintain building prints and technical documentation
Ability to troubleshoot, create, and maintain equipment drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC code
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable plans for operations and maintenance teams
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and risk
Preferred
General Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (ANSI, NEC)
General Knowledge of mechanical drawings and AutoCAD
Working Knowledge in PLC Systems – Allen Bradley Studio 5000
