Transportation Engineer I - Water Resources
The Maryland Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineer I in the Water Resources Track. This role involves performing engineering duties related to drainage problems on state highways, hydraulic design of structures, and stormwater management facilities.

Responsibilities
Performing engineering duties that review and investigate drainage problems affecting state highways and the hydraulic design of structures carrying waterways
Design responsibilities for storm drains, stormwater management facilities, and erosion & sediment control plans on state projects
Performing hydrologic and hydraulic studies of structures over streams and rivers, including hydraulic design of bridges and culverts, scour safety determinations, and flooding evaluations
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering, civil engineering, or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university
Employees assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland
