Responsibilities

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA ?88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable
Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures
Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks

Phlebotomy certificationVenipuncture knowledgeClinical laboratory processesExperienceHealthcare experience

Required

High School graduate or GED
None

Preferred

One (1) year of experience as a phlebotomist
Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy
Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes
Experience in performing EKGs
Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
