Transfer Recruitment Specialist
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Transfer Recruitment Specialist to assist transfer students in their transition to the university. This role involves implementing recruitment strategies, providing college counseling, and representing UNL at various events to promote its benefits to prospective students.

Responsibilities
Implement recruitment strategy for transfer populations
Provide regular updates to supervisor and Admissions Leadership Team
Utilize recruitment tactics to provide college counseling to prospective transfer students and their supporters
Present the benefits of UNL to transfer students
Represent UNL at community college visits and fairs
Interact with students and families in person, over the phone, and via email or approved SMS messaging
Manage additional projects connected to recruitment and admissions
Interpret admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public
Utilize data and access various systems to help the university meet enrollment goals
Understand the unique needs of students from all backgrounds and exhibit inclusiveness throughout the enrollment experience
Travel extensively depending upon focus areas of the recruitment funnel and assigned territory
Work many nights and weekends during peak times
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
Public speaking experience
Ability to work independently
Demonstrated ability to think inclusively about interactions and programs
Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures
Experience with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new technologies
Ability to manage one's time and work on multiple projects at once
Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements
Preferred
Extensive campus or community involvement
Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide
Experience in customer service
Experience using data to analyze happenings and to make recommendations for future work
Ability to speak fluently in an additional language, with preference toward Spanish
