Responsibilities
Responsible for a range of operations, including road maintenance, trail construction, and habitat restoration within Rothrock State Forest
Navigate diverse terrains and varying weather conditions to ensure that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards
Conduct routine maintenance on District heavy equipment, which encompasses daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and construction of roads, facilities, and equipment within the State Forest
Qualification
Required
One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
Any equivalent combination of experience or training
You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license
This position requires possession of a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and any endorsements required to operate specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening
