Environment, Health and Safety Manager
Praxt Talent is a fast-growing manufacturing company expanding its production capacity and enhancing safety systems. The HSE Manager will lead health, safety, and environmental programs at a key manufacturing site, promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively at all levels to reinforce expectations and promote hazard awareness
Partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, Materials, and Quality to integrate HSE into daily management systems
Serve as the primary site contact for regulatory agencies and external partners
Manage environmental compliance documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping
Oversee hazardous materials handling, waste management, spill response, and recycling programs
Support sustainability initiatives aligned with company environmental goals
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulatory requirements
Lead audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards and reduce risk
Maintain required logs, training files, documentation, and regulatory records
Champion a safety-first, speak-up culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement
Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analyses
Reinforce safe behaviors through daily floor presence, coaching, and engagement
Improve and sustain safety programs including LOTO, confined space, hot work, JSAs, and PPE assessments
Lead safety initiatives using Lean tools, standardization, and structured problem solving
Track, analyze, and report HSE performance metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
Develop and deliver safety training programs, orientations, and toolbox talks
Coordinate safety campaigns and employee engagement initiatives
Partner with supervisors to ensure consistent reinforcement of safe work practices
Qualification
Required
Ability to manage multiple programs while maintaining accurate documentation
Strong communication, influence, and coaching skills
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute)
10+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a strong, proactive safety culture
Experience leading incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and foundational HSE principles
Authorization to work in the U.S
Preferred
Professional certifications (ASP, CHST, CSP, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) are advantageous
