Responsibilities

Architect, build & launch new data models that provide intuitive analytics to business users
Build & leverage state-of-the-art data access & alignment systems
Ensure the best possible data is utilized by the models used to help farmers understand the impacts of decisions on their farming operations
Rapidly prototype new data engineering solutions that support data science & analytics
Provide expert advice & education in the usage & interpretation of data systems
Designing & developing scalable & robust data architecture plans and/or systems for agronomic machine & geospatial data
Creating cloud-native data pipelines to build data lakehouses using Apache Iceberg & Apache Spark
Processing large scale datasets to enable batch processing & data analysis using ECS & RDS for PostgreSQL
Performing root cause analysis & optimizing data transformations & algorithms by generating time & memory profiling reports
Packaging & deploying data algorithms to production using Airflow, Docker and Gitlab CI/CD practices to support geospatial data analytics & visualization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product teams & data scientists, defining data requirements & ensure alignment with business objectives
Enhance petabyte scale data models in SQL using indexing & query optimization, to support efficient data retrieval & processing in large-scale databases
Developing data processing scripts, ETL processes, & automation tasks using Python programming
Processing & extracting features from geospatial shapefiles using GeoPandas, Fiona & Shapely frameworks

Required

Master's in C.S., Computer or Software Engineering or closely-related technical field
2 yrs experience designing & developing scalable & robust data architecture plans and/or systems for agronomic machine & geospatial data

processing large scale datasets to enable batch processing & data analysis using ECS & RDS for PostgreSQL
