Responsibilities

Planning and leading a variety of arts and crafts classes

Organizing and executing special programs and activities such as events, parties, and trips

Securing knowledgeable speakers for the center's programs covering topics like life skills, education, nutrition, tax preparation, and health issues

Escorting groups of seniors on outings

Ensuring that travel and meal arrangements are properly coordinated

Prioritizing the well-being of participants during trips

Providing assistance in any unexpected situations that may arise

Coordinating nutrition programs and activities in alignment with the center's operations

Managing the completion of membership and attendance forms for the center, whether for general participation or specific activities

Required

Three months of experience in providing direct services in a human services, education or a community based setting to the aging population or to individuals from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds or to individuals who have physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
