HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing basic human resource functions, navigating the full employee lifecycle, and fostering a positive work environment while acting as a trusted advisor to management and employees.

Responsibilities
Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection
Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent
Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth and comprehensive introduction to the company
Manage the offboarding process, conduct exit interviews and ensure a smooth transition for departing employees
Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns regarding policies, benefits, pay practices
Mediate employee disputes and provide guidance on conflict resolution to managers
Support employee relations matters including attendance, performance, investigations and corrective action
Work with managers and supervisors on effective people management and performance conversations
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures consistently and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Regularly review and update policies to reflect evolving business needs and legal requirements
Communicate new policies and processes through various channels to all employees
Administer the company's performance review process
Provide guidance to managers on performance management best practices
Assist in identifying training and development needs
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes and general benefits education
Partner with payroll to ensure accurate employee data, job changes and timekeeping practices
Support administration of FMLA, ADA accommodations, state leave plans and workers' compensation coordination
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations
Support compliance activities such as audit requests
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
Stay up to date on changes in HR legislation and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Thorough knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Experience with HRIS systems
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
High degree of confidentiality and ethical conduct
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
