ANALYST II
California Department of State Hospitals is seeking an Associate Governmental Program Analyst to serve as a Return-to-Work Coordinator. This role involves managing the hospital's Return-to-Work Program, serving as a liaison for injured workers, and overseeing workers compensation claims and case management in coordination with the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage the hospital’s Return-to-Work Program
Serve as the hospital’s liaison for injured workers, the medical community, management, and State Compensation Insurance Fund
Manage and maintain workers compensation claims and the case management of non-work-related cases
Review settlement authority requests (SARs) from SCIF and make settlement recommendations to hospital administrators
Consult with DSH RTW Coordinators and Supervisors/Managers, State Fund, physicians, legal offices, Human Resources, etc
Analyze the information gathered to ensure criteria are met and all options considered for finalization when making recommendations to DSH executive management
Conduct New Employee Orientation (NEO)
Participate on assigned committees and provide reports/recommendations as delegated
Qualification
Required
Experience performing analytical duties, including gathering and analyzing data, identifying barriers and making recommendations and outcomes
Experience prioritizing multiple high-level assignments and provide an example of how you were able to complete assignments with conflicting deadlines
Knowledge and experience providing training and/or presentations to groups and provide specific examples
Knowledge and experience of the Workers' Compensation/Return to Work processes
