Parks Preservation and Stewardship Manager

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for the enhancement and operation of volunteer and alternative workforce programs to extend our organization’s ability to serve
Represent the department by participating on various community and professional committees or organizations; make public presentations to the community, professional, and academic organizations; attend facilitate, lead and actively participate in external meetings
Develop, plan, execute and coordinates capital replacement project planning efforts for the Parks Department
Assess and ensures project goals and objectives for the division are achieved within constraints of time, budget and staff resources
Manage Planned Maintenance Program, providing services to the Parks Department for all park renovation and repair projects
Work with Director and departmental leadership in developing short and long-range strategic planning for the department, setting goals and objectives, and manage the development and implementation of departmental systems, process, metrics and plans. Represent the organization and collaborate with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, capital project teams, developers, technical associations, and the public

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, project management, business or public administration or closely related field
Five years of increasingly responsible experience directly related to the position
Four years of supervisory experience
A valid driver's license is required
Additional education or experience which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may substitute on a year for year basis
