Start in 2026 SummerThe Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) is seeking a Summer Intern to assist with various administrative tasks within the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office (BCSO). The intern will work collaboratively with departments to uphold the mission of the BCSO and participate in events while receiving direct supervision from the department head.

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the departments of the BCSO to ensure that the mission of the BCSO is upheld
Assist the departments with administrative tasks
Assists with data entry and filing
Participates or assists in events attended by the BCSO or scheduled by the BCSO
Qualification
Required
Working towards an associates or bachelor's degree (or graduate degree) from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Public Administration or related area of study
Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels and to maintain effective working relationships
Ability to process and maintain confidential information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Organized with attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred
Residents of Barnstable County are preferred
