Sr. Network Administrator
The Superior Court of California, County of Alameda is accepting applications for the position of Senior Network Administrator. This role is responsible for administering and leading the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the Court’s network and endpoint infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient access to applications and systems.

Responsibilities
Leads and trains junior administrators; defines standards and procedures for common administrator tasks; defines, documents and tests backup and recovery procedures
Specifies hardware components, peripherals and software related to equipment purchase request
Ensures that all equipment is in good working condition; monitors network performance at each designated location; troubleshoots network problems
Installs and configures network servers and other devices such as printers, hubs, and scanners
Sets up applications and data folders on servers for shared access; sets up user accounts for server and e-mail access
Sets up backup devices; maintains and monitors server backups; monitors server performance; diagnoses and resolves problems
Performs basic hardware repair on computers, monitors, printers, scanners and servers
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
The equivalent to three years of network administration experience that included Windows NT and Unix
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, local and wide area network concepts, and network communications protocols
Experience with network administration practices and modern network operating systems and platforms (e.g., contemporary Windows, Linux, and cloud-integrated environments)
Familiarity with enterprise endpoint and device management platforms
Experience with endpoint protection and threat detection solutions
Knowledge of software packaging, deployment, inventory, and automation tools
Understanding of operating system update and patch management methodologies
Ability to set up and support networked environments, configure workstations, and install and maintain software applications
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale endpoint management and security solutions
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
Skill in preparing clear, accurate technical documentation, procedures, and reports
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with IT teams and stakeholders
Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally—both orally and in writing—with technical staff, judges, and Court personnel
