Responsibilities

Support the US Legal Business Partners group within Gilead's Legal Department, with a primary focus on the company's flagship US HIV Commercial business

Assist other groups within Legal and Ethics & Compliance on a variety of projects across subject matters

Work with in-house attorneys to support and provide practical, substantive legal and strategic advice to the business on healthcare legal and regulatory risks related to commercialization of Gilead's HIV drugs and launch of new products

Conduct research and analysis of legal and regulatory issues; create presentations, draft memos, and provide recommendations on specific legal and strategic issues relevant to the business

Attend meetings with clients and outside counsel, and provide legal support under the supervision of Gilead Legal team members

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts

Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the legal organization and the business

Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship

Required

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8

Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University

Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited law school after the completion of the internship

Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August

Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship

Preferred

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a JD program at an accredited US-based university or college, and be a rising second-year law student (2L) OR rising 3L in Summer 2026

Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Ability to identify issues and seek solutions

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace

Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
