Responsibilities
Support and execute audit engagements, including continuous monitoring, advisory work, and special reviews
Test AI/ML models and model-related tools as part of audit activities
Identify control gaps, draft audit issues and reports, and recommend improvements
Review engagement planning, fieldwork, and reporting to ensure audit quality and consistency
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to assess risk and improve internal controls
Communicate complex, risk-based findings clearly to leadership and, where required, regulators
Coach and mentor audit team members, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Contribute to audit universe risk assessments and annual audit planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field
(Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
8+ years of experience in audit, financial services, banking, insurance, IT, or related fields
Experience conducting internal or external audits in complex, regulated environments
Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit methodologies
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and challenge controls constructively
Preferred
Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle stages, and model risk management
Experience assessing AI-related risks (e.g. bias, data integrity, privacy, security, safety)
Deep understanding of model risk frameworks and control testing
Familiarity with regulatory and governance guidance (e.g. SR 11-7, OCC 2011-12, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act)
Awareness of emerging technologies including generative AI, LLMs, and automated decisioning systems
Ability to evaluate AI explainability and transparency for regulatory and business use
