Acara Solutions is seeking a Test Bench Engineer for Semiconductor & Microelectronics to join our client. The role involves designing, configuring, executing, and debugging semiconductor and microelectronic test setups in compliance with various standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Analyze datasheets, test plans, and MIL-STD requirements to define electrical and functional test conditions

Design or set up DUT boards, PCB interfaces, Burn-in boards, and custom fixtures

Configure, operate, and debug test bench equipment for accurate, repeatable results

Perform electrical characterization, functional, programming, and environmental testing

Maintain detailed engineering notes, schematics, and test records

Support Sales and Engineering with quoting, hardware needs, and process improvements

Contribute to LabVIEW or automation development (preferred)

Required

Bachelor's degree in EE, CE, Systems, Aerospace, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)

4 years minimum experience of test bench experience with semiconductor/microelectronics devices

Proven ability to interpret datasheets, configure and debug equipment, set up DUT/PCB boards, and execute full device-level tests

Preferred

MIL-STD experience, LabVIEW, chip-level programming, PCB layout knowledge

Proficiency with Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, PXIe systems, Curve Tracers, Function/Signal Generators, DC Power Supplies, DMMs, VNA, TDR, Thermostream, environmental chambers, breadboarding, chip-level programming tools, and standard lab electronics/soldering equipment
