Parachute and Seat Survival Kit Technician
Martin-Baker America, Inc. is seeking a Parachute Technician responsible for providing service and support for the production and repack of parachutes. The role involves maintaining parachutes, conducting training for new hires, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Packs and maintains parachutes in accordance with the U.S. Navy or Martin-Baker Aircraft Company supplied instructions
Performs evaluation functions and repack activities to SSK kits
Conducts training for new hires in packing and maintaining parachutes
Maintains parachute packing room at the appropriate levels of heating, lighting and humidity for packing
Certifies each parachute with appropriate documentation and recordation
Maintain parachute presses in accordance with applicable rules and regulations
Provide technical guidance and assistance
Adheres to applicable Martin Baker America operating procedures and work instructions at all times
Perform quality inspections in accordance to ISO, Government, and Martin-Baker Specification
Perform all job functions assigned by the Paraloft Supervisor or Throughput Operations Manager
Qualification
Required
At least three years' experience with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company ejection seats is required
Prior military experience and graduation from U.S. Navy/Marine Corps PR 'A' school or U.S. Air Force equivalent recommended
Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and minimum of five years' experience in the support and maintenance of ejection seats and ejection seat components
Position requires the ability to clearly communicate oral and written information to subordinates, peers, superiors, and customers
Position requires an understanding of the maintenance and packing of Martin-Baker Aircraft Company type parachutes
Position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Must have the ability to accurately understand and interpret product drawings, and specifications of moderate complexity
Position requires the ability to lead activities in area of professional expertise
Position requires a demonstrated ability to work independently without direct oversight
Position requires demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with subordinates, peers, and senior personnel
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and move frequently throughout the facility
Will be required to lift material not exceeding 50 lbs
Must be able to use hand tools and operate packing/test equipment
Occasional local travel is expected
Overseas travel may be required for reviews with Martin-Baker Aircraft
