Content Creation and Curation: Develop compelling and concise content for newsletters across various topics, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with editorial guidelines
Proofreading and Editing: Review content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, maintaining our organization’s editorial voice
Audience Engagement: Implement strategies to grow newsletter subscriptions and enhance reader engagement through innovative approaches
Collaboration: Work closely with senior newsroom leaders to align newsletter content with overall editorial strategies and objectives. Closely working with UK newsletter team in particular
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse newsletter performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation
Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to newsletters and digital media, suggesting new approaches to reach and expand our audience
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in copywriting and editing within a national media environment
Strong proficiency in proofreading and ensuring editorial quality
Experience editing and launching newsletters and using newsletter software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
Deep understanding of audience engagement strategies, particularly in the context of newsletters or digital content
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for exploring new ways to deliver content and engage audiences through newsletters
